-Preparation, supervision, evaluation of approximately 8 students in a group with support from the Practice Coordinator
-Participate in the off-campus clinical placements
-Seek excellence in teaching by applying and evaluating various teaching strategies
-Encourage and foster an environment of inquiry and valuing of evidence-informed practice
-Evaluate students in clinical practice and provide feedback on written assignments
-Attend scheduled team meetings
-Participate as a member of a larger faculty team in the development and implementation of effective teaching strategies and initiatives
-Travel may be required to clinical settings

-LPN and/or RN designation, a minimum of a degree in nursing is required to teach within the BN Program
-Current registration with the CLPNA or CARNA
-Demonstrate a strong knowledge base and safe, competent practice
-Minimum 3 years current clinical experience in medical/surgery/long-term care settings or minimum 3 years current experience in maternity or pediatrics
-Ability to work effectively and autonomously within small groups
-Capable of performing physical duties such as patient transfers and lifts
-Recent clinical supervision/preceptorship of students and/or teaching experience is an asset
