About the Position
Lethbridge College is recruiting for one full-time continuing position within the Nursing Education in Southwestern Alberta (NESA) program. The NESA Bachelor of Nursing Program is seeking an individual who has a strong passion for nursing and quality nursing education.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, innovative, and supportive participant within the nursing program and within the Centre for Health and Wellness. The successful applicant must demonstrate: 1) commitment to lifelong learning, 2) respect for students and colleagues, 3) interest and participation in the goals and objective of the nursing program, and 4) commitment to Lethbridge College.

Position Details
  • Provide teaching, supervision, and mentorship in maternal/child/pediatric nursing courses including theory, lab, and clinical
  • Applies and evaluates effective teaching strategies
  • Encourages and fosters an environment of inquiry, valuing evidence-informed practice
  • Engages as a member of a larger faculty team in the development and implementation of course-related or curricular initiatives
  • Participates in Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and/or applied research activities
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in nursing or related health discipline completed or close to completion
  • Bachelor of Nursing (BN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
  • 3-5 years clinical nursing experience in mat/child/peds
  • Eligible for, or current registration with, the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Class 5 driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of teaching experience
  • clinical expertise in the maternal/child, pediatric area
Salary Commensurate with education and experience according to the Faculty Collective Agreement.
