The Administrative Assistant for Youth Initiatives is an integral part of an innovative team that works to create engaging programs and experiences for children, youth and teachers at Lethbridge College. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with sound communication skills to effectively relate to our diverse youth initiative stakeholders.

Position Details
In this role, you will use your exceptional customer service and communication skills to regularly connect with students, parents, teachers, staff and community members. You will support Youth Initiative programs with scheduling, telephone and email inquiries, registration platforms, purchase requisitions, workflows, travel arrangements, office and lab supplies, room bookings, meeting arrangements and minutes, document development and event support as required.

Your hours will be 28 hours per week, which can be completed as four full days or five shortened days per week, during regular business hours. Occasionally events will require you to be on campus for specific times and days that may fall outside of this regular schedule.

Your typical day will involve a combination of learning, communicating, planning, locating and arranging. You will prioritize tasks to complete them in an effective manner, while remaining responsive to ongoing support needs that emerge from day to day. Your work will require expertise in the use of several software applications, and you will spend time learning how to use these to effectively support the team. The ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality is also important to this role.
Required Qualifications
· Two-year college diploma (one-year college certificate combined with 2 or more years of directly related experience in an office or customer service environment may also be considered)
· Demonstrated excellence in customer service
· Proficiency in Office 365 Suite and willingness to learn other technologies
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively

Salary AUPE Class Level 7 Step 1 $23.68/hr
