About the Position
Reporting to the Manager – Recruitment, Admissions & Articulation, Admission Specialists are key to meeting the college’s enrolment goals. Admissions Specialists must maintain current expertise in Lethbridge College’s programs and admission policies and procedures, including those relating to transfer credit and academic regulations as well as the educational systems within Canada.

The Admissions Specialist plays a key role in the ability of the institution to define and meet its strategic enrolment goals and has responsibility and/or influence for several key points in the enrolment funnel. The Admission Specialists must employ problem solving to ensure that all potential options for enrolling an applicant are considered before making an applicant inadmissible, and to provide applicants with specific advice on becoming eligible for admission in the future. The Admissions Specialist is the face of the institution to applicants during the admissions process, responding to inquiries, issuing admission decision, and awarding transfer credit.
Position Details
Working within the Registrar’s Office, and in collaboration with other members of the Admissions team, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following activities:

  • Reviewing applications to determine eligibility of applicants to programs
  • Communicate with the applicant through the admission cycle their status and next steps
  • Respond to inquiries from Prospective Students, Applicants, Advisors and High School Counselors
  • Review and process transfer credit applications
Required Qualifications
  • Two-year College Diploma in Business Administration or Office Administration.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and technical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Salary AUPE Class Level 9 Step 1 $48,573.28 per annum.
